4. SMS / Text Message Communications
With your express consent, we send SMS/text message notifications related to your use of the Services, including rent payment reminders, late payment notices, maintenance request updates, lease renewal alerts, payment confirmations, and account security notifications.
Consent
By providing your mobile number and enabling SMS notifications in your account settings, you expressly consent to receive recurring automated text messages from Rent Ridge LLC. Consent is not a condition of purchase.
Message Frequency
Frequency varies by account activity — up to approximately 20 messages per month depending on payment schedules, maintenance requests, and lease activity.

Message and data rates may apply. Contact your wireless carrier for details about your messaging plan.
Carriers
Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Opt-Out: Reply STOP to any message at any time. You will receive a one-time confirmation and no further texts. You may also disable SMS at app.rentridge.com/settings.

We do not share your phone number or SMS opt-in data with any third party for promotional or marketing purposes.
5. How We Share Your Information
5.1 With Other Users
Information necessary for the landlord-tenant relationship is shared between parties, including contact details, payment history, maintenance requests, and lease documents.
5.2 With Service Providers
We share information with third-party vendors solely to operate and deliver the Services:

- Cloud hosting and infrastructure

5.3 No Selling or Marketing Sharing

We implement industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information, including encryption in transit (TLS), secure password hashing, role-based access controls, and regular security reviews. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Services. We may also retain information as required by law, to resolve disputes, and to enforce our agreements. When data is no longer needed, we securely delete or anonymize it.
